Building Services Adjustment:

With the reduced development activity in this slow economy, a corresponding adjustment in building department staffing assignments is warranted. The goal is to meet building inspection requests in a timely fashion and in a cost-effective manner. Beginning on November 9, 2009, building permit inspections will be focused in the afternoons, Monday through Thursday, and all day on Fridays. These new inspection hours will better align staffing levels with the level of building permit activity we are seeing. By managing costs in this manner, the City hopes to minimize any future increases to building permit fees.
