Council Member - Hal Ryan
A longtime resident of Santee and former director of the local Chamber of Commerce, Council Member Ryan has served on the Santee City Council since 1990. He was elected to his fourth term as a Council Member in November 2002. Additionally, he was appointed as Santee's Vice Mayor in 1991, 1995, 1999 and 2002.

As a member of the City Council and representative of the City, Council Member Ryan serves on the Automated Regional Justice Information System (ARJIS) Joint Powers Agency, the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Service Authority, the East County Transit Needs Assessment Study Policy Steering Committee, and the Metropolitan Transit Services. In addition to these committees, Council Member Ryan serves on the Service Authority for Freeway Emergencies (SAFE), which is the regional agency responsible for freeway call boxes. He is also the City's alternate representative to the San Diego Association of Governments, and the Mission Trails Regional Park Task Force.

Council Member Ryan has a real estate business in Santee. He and his wife, Rhonda, have four children: Judge, Georgie, Jack and Riley.
