The City of Santee is host to the San Diego River, Forester Creek, and Sycamore Creek which confluence before leaving the City. When it rains, many of the pollutants that lurk on our streets, sidewalks, parking lots and gutters wash down the storm drains, and into the San Diego River.
The City of Santee has developed its stormwater program to help prevent the discharge of pollutants to the river and has invested resources in enhancing key tributaries to the river including Sycamore Creek, Forester Creek and the San Diego River.
Water quality information is divided into separate areas of interest (residential, business, new development and construction, properties with treatment control BMPs [Property Managers]) and an overall guide to the program.
